Opening of The Extension 2nd August 2017

The club is very proud to announce the completion of our Pavilion Extension. With the support from Valarie Morgan and her family (Daughter of the late WHBC member and County Bowler Alan Bone) along with Brian Littlejohn and Derek Plyford and our members we started the build in April 2017. With out any funding from Sport England/National Lottery fund or our application to The Viola Trust we funded the project from each of our club members. The total amount required being £45,000. which we raised through Club Events – Southend Carnival – Bowls England Club of The Year 2016 – Drakes Pride – Olympus KeyMed Group – Oldham’s Fish Restaurant we achieved our DREAM!! The Extension now offers our members and more people from our local community the sport of Short-Mat Bowls to be played all year. Leaving this sport for our future generations to enjoy. Southend Carnival August 2016

Southend Carnival August 2016

WE CAN DO THIS!!

First time that a Bowls Club has entered into the 50 year old Southend Carnival it had to be WHITE HALL BC. Well done to those that gave of their time in walking the Golden Miles to collect funds towards our Extension.
Well done to Carol, Evelyn, Elaine, Michelle, Ian, Roger, Richard, Ken and David.
To Kay for donating funds to pay for the hire of our Carnival Truck.
We made new friends along the route with people wanting to make contact to join our club. From the loose change mainly Coppers we collected £204.45.
Thank you to our friends/members with MS for the loan of your Bradshaw Buggy that I sat in on the truck. (I have Peripheral Vascular Disease) This was to show the crowds that Bowls is “The Sport 4 All.”
